Fair enough不是“足够公平”，别再理解错啦

You use fair enough when you want to say that a statement, decision, or action seems reasonable to a certain extent, but that perhaps there is more to be said or done.

当你想说，对方的陈述、决定或者一个行为合情合理，但是有可能自己还有很多隐藏的东西没有表达出来时，可以用这个表达。类似于汉语里的“讲得通”，“说得过去”，“有一些道理”。

在语境里， 这个表达

既可以表示“ 积极的肯定”

也可以表示“勉强同意”

我们再 来看两个例句体会一下吧：

-I'll do the dishes today, and you can wash them tomorrow.

-Fair enough.

-今天我刷盘子，明天你刷。

-没问题。

If you don't like it, fair enough, but that's hardly a justification to attack the whole thing.

如果你不喜欢它，没问题，但把它批得一无是处就说不过去了。

在美剧《致命女人》里

Karl和Simone的一段对话

就用到了这个表达：

Karl: Where have you been?

Simone: You committed adultery, Karl. That means you're no longer entitled to keep tabs on my life.

Karl: Fair enough.

-你去哪儿了？

-你犯了通奸罪，卡尔。这意味着你不再有权力窥探我的生活。

-好吧。（其实他的内心略微不爽，但是对方说的也有理有据，他没法反驳）

类似的表达还有

make sense

也可以翻译成

“有道理”

“说得过去”

“讲得通”

我们来看两个例句：

It makes sense to buy a house now because prices will certainly go up soon.

现在买房很明智啊，因为价格很快还会上涨。

I've tried asking him but his explanations aren't making any sense.

我一直在问他，但是他的解释根本讲不通。
